Good speeches never die... They just evolve into whatever it is someone needs to talk about this time.
Wait, what the hell am I talking about? I don't know if the "What happened to me on 31 Oct 2001" speech is any good or not... The Crews seemed to like it, but what do a bunch of guys who run toward the fire know?

Well, suck or not it's made an impression. I've been talking back and forth occasionally with Shari Downhill of Northwest Timber Fallers has asked tme to come up to the 2004 Timber Faller Roundtablein december and among other things, put on a shortened version. Shouldn't be too hard if I just cover the fire years. (I'm planning already.. So it should be a sweet one seein' as I've got a few months to prepare.

She's also working on a few other things she'd like me to be a part of, but we're still talkin' so more on that later.

I must be gettin' sick or something.... Because I haven't hurt too much in the last two days. I don't know why not. Been thinkin' about it and the only thing i've done differently is not get up at 6... I waited to do that till 7.30 both days. So maybe that's the trick, I don't know. The annoying thing is when I look at the clock and the rising temp outside.. Only matters when I want to get out there and do something before it gets too hot. Soon tho it will be time to start thinking about turning on the fire... It's nice enough lately that I leave the screen doors exposed all day, hoping the kids don't get any ideas about climbing or worse digging through them. If they can put a hole in the carpet in less than 20 minutes they can get through a screen in about 5 seconds... The advantage is they've never been outside so they don't know there's anything cool out there. Herbie's been, but he's too concerned about finding a cushy place to sleep now than anything else.

I've picked up some passion flower seeds from Brazil, and am working on getting some from Germany. Only problem is I don't remember enough german to order lunch, let alone figure out an order form. You see Germans like to take a bunch of little words and shove them all together to make one reallylongword with asmallchangeinmeaning. So at times it's a little difficult to figure out. Anyway, the credit card data entry area was easy so in a while I should have some european varieties.

It's really strange... Laying in bed right now, and I'm feeling very little pain. The level hasn't been this low in months. I have been hanging out in bed alot more than usual while trying to get this pressure sore to heal, so maybe that's the cure, or whatever. I do know that the amount of time I spend in the chair on the average day is related to how bad I hurt, with the more time I spend in it the worse it gets, sometimes getting so bad in the evenings that I can no longer function.

My spasms are alot worse the past couple of days tho, so I guess to get something I have to give something else up. That's fine tho, the spasms keep the muscle mass up, and they're predictable enough that I (usually) can keep them from throwing me on the floor. Does suck tho when I'm carrying something on my lap and both legs decide to start teh 'sewing machine' game. Whatever it was that I had been carrying immediately finds itself on the floor. Not bad if it's a book, sucks when it's ground coffee.

I got an email from some jackass a couple days ago telling me I complain too much. Like he can tell how life really is for me, looking at me through a 15" (diagonal) window at what I choose to tell the world. maybe I do complain alot here, but people in general remember the bad things that happen to them rather than the good. Am I right? Ok. So if I don't quickly tap out a little fuzzy bunny story whenever something nice happens to me, I'm sorry. I'm busy enjoying the good thing. So deal with it.
