I just wanted to say "thanks" to the Marleys & Redding IHC for their generous 'donations' again this year. It's good to know that I am not totally forgotten & that made a bright spot in an otherwise dismal couple of months. I have not written anything for a long while, and I don't know when / if I'll start again. Been dealing with a bit of depression, partly brought on by the frustration of the injury & the loss my lack of mobility has caused me, but mostly because of the treatment I am recieving from OWCP. My crushed wish to go see the Swiss Alps (saw a show about them on TV) because wheelchairs suck in the snow is nothing compared to the feelings of betrayal I have been recieving when asking OWCP for equipment. Now they want me to get a prescription for wheelchair tires. Can you believe that shit? So I may just be doing maintence here for a while & not writing much. Then again It's not going to take too many more straws to snap this camel's back & then we'll see how many letters I have to write to get this work-comp bullshit fixed. I bet if every Federal firefighter was to become aware that this is the treatment they will recieve post injury the shit will hit the fan. But for now, that is all.
